Bantwal: Kannada Rajyothsava celebrated in taluk administration office premises

Bantwal, Nov 1: The Kannada Rajyotsava celebration was held on Saturday, November 1, in the premises of the Bantwal Taluk Administration Office, organised under the auspices of the Taluk National Festivals Celebration Committee.

The event began with a procession (patha sanchalana) by the police department, home guards, and students, followed by flag hoisting by tahsildar G Manjunath. The guests witnessed the parade and received the guard of honour.

Presiding over the formal function, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik extended his greetings and said that it is essential for Kannadigas to move forward as role models for the world while remembering those who fought for the Kannada language, land, and culture.

On the occasion, student Sajina delivered a speech highlighting that Karnataka should strive to achieve the number one position in the country and that the state has contributed many great personalities to various fields across the world.

Bantwal Municipality president B Vasu Poojary Loretto, BUDA chairman Baby Kunder, Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee chairperson Jayanti V Poojary, and Kannada Sahitya Parishat taluk president Vishwanath Bantwal conveyed their best wishes.

Taluk education officer Manjunatha delivered the welcome address, while Taluk Panchayat executive officer Sachin Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.

The programme was compered by teacher Vijayalakshmi.
