Mangaluru, Nov 1: Expert PU College celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava with great joy and patriotic fervour on November 1, marking the day in 1956 when the state of Karnataka was unified — a symbol of Kannada pride and unity.
College principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the importance of preserving the Kannada language, culture, and traditions. He noted that Kannada Rajyotsava is a day of pride for every Kannadiga and urged the youth to play an active role in safeguarding the state’s linguistic and cultural heritage.
The event was graced by coaching coordinator and Kannada ecturer Karunaklar Balkur, assistant coaching coordinator and Hindi lecturer Pramod Kini, Kannada lecturer Ramya Anil, and other faculty members and students.
The programme was beautifully compered by first-year PU student Shrividya, who kept the audience engaged throughout.
Students presented soulful Kannada songs, thought-provoking speeches, and cultural performances that highlighted the rich literary and cultural glory of Karnataka, winning everyone’s admiration.
On this occasion, teachers and students offered tributes to 'Kannada Thaayi' (Mother Kannada) and took an oath to uphold the honour and dignity of the land.
The celebration concluded successfully in an atmosphere filled with cultural splendour, unity, and deep devotion to the Kannada language.
