Udupi: 'Hackotsava 2025' inaugurated at SMVITM

Udupi, Nov 3: The inaugural ceremony of 'Hackotsava 2025', a national-level 30-hour hackathon, was held on Monday, November 3 at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM). The programme was graced by Wilson Fernandes, founder of Fernandes Group, who served as the chief guest.

In his inaugural address, Wilson Fernandes encouraged the participants to approach challenges with confidence and clarity of purpose. He stressed that failure is not the end, but a stepping stone to success, inspiring the students to keep learning and innovating with persistence.

The event was presided over by Prof Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO, SODE Group of Institutions, Udupi. In his presidential remarks, Dr Aithal appreciated the dedication and teamwork of the student organisers in successfully hosting a national-level hackathon. He acknowledged that such platforms foster innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among young minds.

The occasion was attended by Dr Nagaraj Bhat, dean (Academics), Chandrashekar Rao Kuthyar, faculty in-charge of Hackotsava 2025, and Sumedh Navuda, student coordinator, along with faculty members and participants from various institutions across the country.
