Mangaluru, Nov 4: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University successfully organised an aircraft model making competition on November 3 for the first-year students of BBA Aviation Management and BBA Aviation & Logistics Management.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 30 teams comprising nearly 300 students showcasing innovative and creative aircraft models as part of their experiential learning and academic enrichment. The competition aimed to enhance students’ technical understanding, creativity, and teamwork while offering practical exposure to aviation concepts.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Anjana T V, head of the Department and event coordinator, along with the cooperation of all faculties and staff members of the Institute.






Each model reflected the students’ understanding of aircraft structure, and design efficiency, emphasising the academic objectives of promoting hands-on learning and enhancing aviation-related skills. After a highly competitive display of talent Vaisakh R M and team from BBA Aviation & Logistics Management secured the first place, while Brian William D’Souza and team, along with Janani B P and team from BBA Aviation & Logistics Management, jointly bagged the second place.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants, appreciating their innovative efforts and congratulating the winners and runners for their outstanding performance.
