Jaipur, Nov 5: In a heartwarming twist of fate, a vegetable vendor from Rajasthan, who once struggled to make ends meet, has become a crorepati overnight after winning the Punjab State Diwali Bumper Lottery 2025 worth a whopping Rs 11 crore.

The winner, Amit Sehra from Kotputli in Jaipur district, could hardly hold back tears as he reached Chandigarh to complete the formalities and claim his prize. Overwhelmed with emotion, Amit shared that he had to borrow money even to travel to Chandigarh for collecting his winnings.

Amit, who runs a small vegetable shop to support his family, bought the lottery ticket from a shop in Bathinda after borrowing Rs 500 from his friend Mukesh. Little did he know that this small act would completely transform his life.

On October 31, the lottery results were announced, revealing Amit as the winner of the top prize. Speaking to reporters, he said, “It is truly God’s blessing. He has given me more than I ever dreamed of — ‘chhappad phaad ke’.”

Expressing his gratitude, Amit said he plans to use the money to secure the future of his two young children by investing in their education. He added that the victory has finally brought an end to his long-standing financial struggles.

Amit also did not forget the friend who helped him at his lowest point. In a touching gesture, he announced that he will gift Rs 1 crore from his winnings to his friend Mukesh, who had lent him the money to buy the ticket.

With this stroke of fortune, not only Amit’s life but also his friend’s destiny has changed forever — a true story of faith, friendship, and fate.
