Saligao, Nov 6: Two men were found murdered in a rented room in Muddawado, Saligao, late on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the area.
The victims have been identified as Richard D'Mello, a resident of Guirim, and Abhishek Gupta, a native of Indore. Both men had deep knife wounds on their throats, police sources said.
Preliminary information suggests that Sonu, who worked with Richard in his music business, was residing at the rented premises where the killings took place.
Police have cordoned off the area, and forensic teams are examining the crime scene. Senior officers are overseeing the investigation to determine the motive and sequence of events leading to the double murder.
Richard D'Mello was the brother of Trajano D'Mello, a well-known local figure.
