Tawadkar reviews electoral roll revision drive in Canacona

Canacona, Nov 11: Sports Minister and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar chaired a meeting of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in the Canacona constituency to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. State BJP President Damu Naik also attended the meeting and guided the BLAs on strategies for effective implementation of the drive.

Addressing the gathering at Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona, Tawadkar said the meeting was aimed not just at reviewing progress but also at formulating a structured action plan. “If every booth works systematically and efficiently, the Special Intensive Revision drive will be a success,” he said.

BJP State General Secretary Sarvanand Bhagat briefed participants on the technical and procedural aspects of the SIR drive, stressing that timely and coordinated efforts at the booth level would help eliminate errors and strengthen the democratic process.

The meeting concluded with discussions on booth-level planning, coordination among party workers, and awareness campaigns on voter registration. BLAs and office bearers resolved to work actively to ensure the successful completion of the voter revision process.
