Udupi, Nov 11: Laxmeesh V, a second-year Computer Science engineering student of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, brought laurels to the institute by winning the gold medal in the VTU State-level Powerlifting (Men) championship.
The event was held on November 7 and 8 at R V Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru, where Laxmeesh showcased exceptional strength and skill to dominate the 120+ kg weight category and secure the top position.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, Laxmeesh has been selected to represent the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Power lifting Team at the South Zone Inter-University Championship (National Level Event).
The management, principal and physical education director have congratulated the students for their commendable accomplishments.
