Mangaluru, Nov 12: In an impressive display of teamwork, skill, and sporting spirit, the under-14 and under-17 girls’ handball teams of St Agnes School (CBSE), Mangaluru, showcased their excellence at the AICS Handball Tournament – “MCCS Goal Quest: Shoot, Score, Soar,” held at Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, Mangaluru, on November 7.
Competing against several teams from various schools, the teams delivered outstanding performances, earning second place in the under-14 category and third place in the under-17 category, bringing pride and honour to their institution.
The under-14 team, comprising Amruth Mariet Sequeira (8A), Steffi Sansha D’Souza (7A), Aadhya K (8D), Ruth Sania D’Souza (7D), Thasvi S K (8C), Joella Adlyn D’Cruz (6D), Vaisnavi M (8A), Niyati V S (6D) and Rishika Jayaraj Bangera (7D), exhibited remarkable coordination and strategic play to secure the runners-up position. Notably, Aadhya K was awarded the best goalkeeper trophy for her exceptional skills and crucial saves that significantly contributed to the team’s success.





The under-17 team, consisting of Nishka Jayaraj Bangera (9A), Adithi Ranjan (9D), Tanishka Udaya Poojary (9B), Reyhana Kaiser Hasan (9B), Dhanvi V K (9D), Abigail Mikayla Dsouza (9D), Anvitha A (9D), Anushka Udaya Bangera (9B), Dhruthi S Shetty (9B), Sthuthi Shetty (9B), Alisha Madalen Monis (9B), Leona Pereira (9B) and Shravya K Shetty (9D), demonstrated consistency, teamwork and resilience, earning a commendable third place.
Their achievement reflects the dedicated training and guidance of dedicated teachers, whose expertise played a vital role in shaping the teams’ success.
