Delhi, Nov 13: A bomb threat email sent to IndiGo’s grievance portal on Wednesday triggered precautionary security checks at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3, but authorities later confirmed it was a hoax. The email also mentioned other airports, including Chennai and Goa, prompting security agencies to conduct checks at all locations.
According to Delhi Police, the fire brigade received a call around 4 pm reporting a bomb at Terminal 3. Immediate investigations by security personnel, however, confirmed that there was no explosive device at the site.

This alert comes in the wake of the recent car blast in Delhi, which claimed multiple lives and injured several others, keeping security agencies on high alert across the city.
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation into the blast near the Red Fort has uncovered links to a “white-collar terror network” allegedly connected with Pakistan-based outfits Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH). The network, reportedly involving doctors and clerics, was dismantled through coordinated operations between October 19 and November 10, 2025, resulting in the seizure of 2,921 kilograms of explosives and multiple arrests.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now leading the probe, which originated after a joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police and Haryana Police revealed a complex inter-state nexus spanning educational, medical, and religious institutions.
The crackdown began on October 19 following the discovery of objectionable JeM posters in Nowgam, Kashmir, leading to the arrest of three suspects—Arif Nisar, Yasir-ul-Ashraf, and Maqsood. Subsequent operations saw the arrest of Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wage from Shopian and Zameer Ahmed from Wakura, Ganderbal, along with the recovery of firearms and ammunition.
The investigation soon expanded beyond Jammu and Kashmir, with arrests of Dr Muzamil from Al-Falah Medical College, Faridabad, and Dr Adeel from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Searches at Anantnag Hospital and Al-Falah Medical College led to the seizure of rifles, pistols, gunpowder, and other ammunition.
A major breakthrough came with the arrest of Hafeez Mohammad Ishtiaq, an imam at Al-Falah Mosque in Mewat, from whose residence security forces recovered 2,563 kilograms of explosives.
Authorities have reiterated that all airports remain on high alert and urged the public to remain vigilant while cooperating with law enforcement agencies.
