Mangaluru, Nov 13: A charity fete will take place on Sunday, November 16, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Home for the Aged, St Anthony’s Hill, Maroli, Kulshekar. The event is being organised to support The Little Sisters of the Poor, who run the home and provide long-term care for elderly residents with limited support.
The organisers are inviting the public to contribute in practical ways. Financial donations are needed to sustain the home’s operations, and individuals or groups may also sponsor meals, entertainment or activities for the residents.
People who attend the fete are encouraged to spend time with the elderly rather than treating the visit as a formality. The purpose of the event is to offer meaningful help and remind the residents that they are not forgotten.
