Mangaluru: Man found dead near Kumpala; animal attack suspected

Mangaluru, Nov 14: A 60-year-old man, identified as Dayananda, son of late Rama Gatty of Kumapala, was found dead near Kumpala with blood visible around the spot.

According to locals, he was last seen walking in the area at around 3 am on Tuesday. Preliminary observations suggest that some of the injuries on his body may have been caused by an animal attack.

Police officers have reached the spot and are verifying the exact cause of death. An FSL team has been deputed, and a forensic doctor has been requested to provide an expert opinion.
