Mangaluru, Nov 15: The two-day techno-cultural fest, Tiara2025, organised by St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, drew to a vibrant close on the college basketball court with a colourful award ceremony followed by a lively DJ night featuring popular DJ Swattrex.
The valedictory programme was graced by Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC; Fr Kenneth R Crasta, assistant director; Dr Rio D’Souza, principal of SJEC; & Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice-principal. The staff conveners of the fest, Sachin U and Priya Miranda, and the student conveners, Suhas L Karinja and Srishti Jalan were also present during the occasion.












Over the two days, students from across the region showcased their talents in a series of technical, non-technical and cultural events. Highlights included the high-octane robot battle "Robowar", the fast-paced aerial showdown flightfury, and the vibrant dance-music showcase groove on Day1, complemented by the energetic spin the disc and adrenaline-pumping RC Blaze. Day 2 added to the excitement with a spectacular fashion flair runway, the precision of hydrodynamics, an awe-inspiring drone zone display and the brain-teasing quizwiz.
The awards ceremony on the final evening saw AJIET, Mangaluru crowned runners in the Engineering category, while NMAMIT, Nitte was honoured as the overall champions. In the non-engineering segment, SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru secured the overall championship, and St Aloysius College, Mangaluru took the runners-up trophy. CFAL was declared the best PU College.
The management of SJEC congratulated all prize-winners and lauded the organising committee for the grand success of TIARA 2025.
With the fest concluding on a high note, participants left buzzing about next year’s edition, eager to return for another celebration of talent and creativity.
