Mangaluru, Nov 15: On the occasion of stepping into its 25th year of celebrating existence, The Yenepoya School, in association with the Mangalore Quizzing Foundation, organised a two-day interschool quiz competition for the students of Mangaluru and Udupi on the November 14 and 15 at the school campus.
The competition witnessed 200 enthusiastic participants from across Mangaluru and Udupi.











Dr Annappa Kamath, president of MQF, expressed his delight, saying the event was “one of the best quiz competitions” he has had the pleasure to conduct. He added, “The response was overwhelming, with students showing great enthusiasm to participate and learn.”
The event was divided into two categories: Grades 5–8 on day 1 and grades 9–12/PUC on day 2.
The winners faced tough competition to secure cash prizes amounting to Rs 60,000.
Under the 1st category, for grades 5 - 8, the 1st place was bagged by Advaith T Padiyar and Pranav Kotekar from Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru followed by K Abhay Nair and Sonith Shetty Kidoor from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya 1 , Panambur, Mangaluru bagging the 2nd place. The third place was bagged by Srujan N Y and Vibhav Kalkura from Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar.
Under the second category, Skanda J Shetty and Thakshak Shetty from Little Rock school, Brahmavar won the winners title followed by Vidyuth Ajith Soman and Shantanu Vaibhav Anish from CFAL bagged the first runners up title, while Shannara Kadidal and Sumedh Rao from St Theresa bagged the second runners up title.
The associate director of The Yenepoya School, Antony Joseph, remarked that the turnout was impressive and the competition highly engaging. He applauded the participants and winners for their spirited attempts and accomplishments, noting that the event reflected the school’s commitment to fostering knowledge and intellectual curiosity among students.
Yenquiz 2025 concluded on a high note with the winners being awarded their cash prizes, walking out with big smiles on their faces.
