Sharjah, Nov 18: The much-awaited "Family Fiesta" organised by Mangalore Konkans Dubai, to be held on December 7 at the Sharjah Wanderers Open Ground from 9:00 AM onwards, had its grand ticket-launch ceremony at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama. Representatives from various associations, bloggers, and YouTubers attended the special event.
The ceremony began with a prayer led by the Master of Ceremonies, Mr Uttam Menezes.
Former president James Mendonca gave an overview of Mangalore Konkans Dubai, highlighting its objectives, humanitarian initiatives, and the significance of the Family Fiesta.
Shashidhar Nagarajappa, president of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, appreciated the efforts of Mangalore Konkans in uniting the community and emphasised how the Family Fiesta brings families and friends together to create cherished memories.
Dubai-based singer Naveed Magundi, a beloved figure across communities, praised Mangalore Konkans and encouraged everyone to attend the event.
Social worker Shodhan Prasad shared his experience from last year’s Family Fiesta and commended the team for their excellent organising skills.
Goan leader advocate Greg De Barros delivered his message and wished Mangalore Konkans continued success.
A special celebration was held for recently married couples — treasurer Melroy & Vanisha, and secretary Goldina & Elvin — who cut a cake to share their joy. President Stephen Menezes presented them with flower bouquets and later delivered the vote of thanks.
Popular anchor and Mangalore Konkans member Uttam Menezes conducted the programme in his signature style, while photographers Sannu Nidodi and Sunny captured the memorable moments.
