Bantwal, Nov 19: The Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), Nirkan unit, organized the Bantwal deanery inter-parish Konkani Natak Spardho on November 16 at St Thomas Church Hall, Nirkan-Vogga. Participants from different parishes came together to showcase their talents through meaningful messages and entertaining performances. A total of six parishes participated.
The programme was inaugurated by Fr Victor D’Souza, vicar forane, Bantwal deanery.
Anil Roshan Lobo, parish priest of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan and spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Nirkan, was also present. Melwyn D’Souza, president of Catholic Sabha Nirkan, presided over the event.

Other dignitaries present on the dais included Santhosh D’Souza Bajpe, president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R); Stany Lobo, past president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R); John Lasrado, president of Catholic Sabha Bantwal deanery; Austin Lobo, secretary of Catholic Sabha Bantwal deanery; Vincent Bennis, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Nirkan Church; Sr Severine Fernandes, superior of Holy Family Bethany Convent, Nirkan, and Headmistress of St Thomas School, Nirkan–Vogga; Issac D’Souza, secretary of Catholic Sabha Nirkan and Alphonse Fernandes, Convenor of Natak Spardho.
Best actor, best actress, and best comedian awards were also presented during the event.
The winners were Nirkan church, the runners-up were Bellore Church, and the second runners-up were Loretto Church.
The Catholic Sabha also set up a food stall for the participants and audience.
Alphonse Fernandes, convenor of Natak Spardho, welcomed the gathering, whereas Jossy Pinto, joint secretary of Catholic Sabha Nirkan, conveyed the vote of thanks.
Leesha Lobo, Amcho Sandesh Representative of Catholic Sabha Nirkan, compered the programme.
