Mangalore: Devotees Sing Bhajans on Karaoke at Boloor Mutt

Mangalore, Feb 18: The devotees at Mata Amrithanandamayi Math, Boloor, here witnessed the performance of a group of ladies belonging to Rajmahal Apartments, Lalbagh, here, who sang devotional Bhajans on Karaoke for an hour on Friday February 17.
 
As part of their annual celebrations ie, Sri Brahmasthanam Pratishtapana Vardhantyutsava, the Mutt had organized a day-long Akhanda Bhajan Day , wherein various Bhajan Troupes participated.  But this particular group of ladies created history by singing all the devotional hymns only on karaoke musical tracks.

The group led by Savita Shenoy, founder of the Mangalorean karaoke club Raag & Rhyth, comprised of Nagarathna Prabhu, Geeta Shenoy and Vani Acharya.
