Tributes paid to wing commander Namansh Syal in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Nov 23: The mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who lost his life during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show, were brought to Coimbatore on Sunday.

Coimbatore District Collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar laid a wreath and paid tribute to Syal at the Air Force Station in Sulur.

The Wing Commander, hailing from Himachal Pradesh, died on November 21 when the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas crashed during the aerial display.

Sulur Air Force Station, operated by the Southern Air Command, serves as a key base for the Indian Air Force near Coimbatore.
