Mangaluru: Confraternity Sunday celebrated with devotion at Holy Family Church, Omzoor

Mangaluru, Nov 23: Confraternity Sunday was observed with deep devotion and joy at Holy Family Church, Omzoor, marking the beginning of the three-day festive preparations for the parish annual feast scheduled for November 26. A large number of parishioners gathered to take part in the solemn celebration.

The eucharistic celebration commenced at 8 am, presided over by Fr Antony George Pinto, professor at Jeppu Seminary. Concelebrating the Mass were Fr William Menezes, parish priest; Fr Victor D’Souza, residential priest of Omzoor; and Fr Denis Saldanha OFM Cap superior Monte Mariano Friary, Farangipete.

Following the Mass, a devotional procession of the blessed sacrament was held, drawing the participation of a significant number of faithful. The serene ambience was enriched by the musical brass band, the melodious choir, prayerful singing from the congregation, the disciplined participation of the altar servers, and the vibrant decorations that adorned the church surroundings.

The celebration concluded with the benediction of the blessed sacrament in the church. The entire observance of Confraternity Sunday reflected the profound faith, unity, and spiritual fervour of the parish community.
