Bengaluru: Alliance University celebrates NCC Day with grandeur

Bengaluru, Nov 24: Alliance University, Bengaluru, celebrated the 77th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day with great pride and enthusiasm on its campus. This marked the first-ever NCC Day celebration at the University, organised in collaboration with the 40 Karnataka Battalion Army, Group ‘B’, Bengaluru.

On this special occasion, Abhay Chebbi, pro-chancellor, and Prof Dr Priestly Shan, vice-chancellor, along with the leadership team of Alliance University, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the NCC cadets for their exemplary service, discipline, and dedication.

The event was guided by Lt Dr Y Narasimha Raju, associate NCC officer, Alliance University. Both girl and boy cadets actively participated in the celebration.

The programme featured NCC flag hoisting, parade demonstrations, drill competitions, cultural performances, and sports events, reflecting the NCC’s motto of “Unity and Discipline.” Cadets also rendered the patriotic NCC song “Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain,” which added to the patriotic spirit of the event.

As part of the “Vande Mataram” themed celebrations, cadets took part in several social outreach activities including a blood donation camp, tree plantation drive, quiz competitions, webinars, and various community service initiatives. These activities highlighted the cadets’ commitment to nation-building and social responsibility.

Alliance University takes pride in fostering leadership, discipline, and service among its students through the National Cadet Corps and looks forward to hosting many such inspiring initiatives in the future.
