Mangaluru, Nov 25: Carmel School CBSE, Mangaluru observed Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme aimed to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution and to instill constitutional values among students.
The event began with a warm welcome by the students of class 2, followed by a prayer seeking God’s blessings. A colorful welcome dance added vibrance to the celebration, setting a joyful tone for the day.
Students presented the significance of Constitution Day, highlighting the historic moment when the Constitution of India came into effect and the visionary efforts of Dr B R Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly. A well-performed skit by the students conveyed the importance of understanding one’s rights and duties as responsible citizens.
The programme also featured an inspiring address by Sister Joicila, the trainee teacher, who emphasised the relevance of constitutional values such as justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in shaping a harmonious society.
The programme was compered by Aysha Hila and Yumna Ahmed. Naifah Salma welcomed the gathering and Aleefa Safiya proposed the vote of thanks. The observance of Constitution Day at Carmel School helped reinforce national pride and the importance of upholding the ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
