Mangaluru, Nov 26: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology (SUIET) Mukka organised "Inspire 2025", the state-level Techno Cultural and Sports Fest for the PU students at Mukka campus. Chief guest, Prof H H Rajeshwari, deputy director, Department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada district inaugurated the programme with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Dr A Srinivas Rao, hon’ble pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, presided over the programme. Distinguished guests on the dais included Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy (vice-chancellor), Dr Anil Kumar (registrar), Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde (dean, SUIET Mukka), and Prof Vishwas C Shetty (convenor of INSPIRE-25).








In her inaugural address, chief guest, Prof H H Rajeshwari congratulated the students gathered at the ceremony as well as the event organisers. She stated that in today’s world, where technology is advancing rapidly, solutions can be found to many challenges with the help of the latest and advanced technology. "At the same time, we should give special attention to address the issue of unemployment," Prof H H Rajeshwari said, adding that programmes like Inspire will encourage and motivate students to showcase their talents, and will help them to become the leading technocrats of the future.
In his presidential remarks, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivas Rao said that Srinivas University is working with the vision of “Young India and Industry Ready”. "Therefore, along with academic programmes, we give special emphasis on skill development and comprehensive personality development, hence we are providing students with the necessary training in these areas," he said.
Dr Srinivas Rao said that continuous learning, research, and keeping pace with emerging technologies are of paramount importance at Srinivas University. In line with this, students here are trained in advanced and future-oriented technical courses such as robotics, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, cyber security and aircraft maintenance engineering.
Dr Srinivas Rao also congratulated the students and lecturers from various PU colleges who have travelled from different districts across the state.
On this occasion, chief guest Prof H H Rajeswari was honoured for her immense contribution since 32 years in the field of teaching and administration at PU Colleges at various places of Karnataka and for getting promoted as the deputy director of Dakshina Kannada District Pre-University Education Department.
Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy (vice-chancellor) and Dr Anil Kumar (registrar) congratulated and wished the participants good luck.
Convenor of the programme Prof Vishwas C Shetty delivered the welcome address. Prof Shrinath Rao K introduced the chief guest and hon'ble pro-chancellor to the gathering. Dhanyashri Rao rendered the invocation. Lavanya D'Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Prof Rohan Fernandes was the master of ceremony.
Dr Praveen B M (director - research, Srinivas University), heads of departments, around 1,350 Participants and faculty members from 75 plus PU Colleges were present for the inaugural function.
After the formal function, various competitions were conducted under the technical, cultural and sports categories.
The students of Poornaprajna PU College Udupi won the overall championship, while the students of Chandana PU College, Sirsi (Uttara Kannada District) emerged as the runners-up. At the valedictory function held in the evening, prizes and trophies were awarded to the winners of the Inspire 2025 competitions, and participation certificates were presented to all the students who took part in the events.
