Karkala, Nov 27: A programme to celebrate Indian Constitution Day was held on November 26 at Manjunatha Pai Memorial Government First Grade College Karkala under the auspicious of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), department of political science and National Service Scheme (NSS) units.

Mohammed Riyaz, lecturer in history at Government PU College, Palli graced the event as the resource person. He addressed the students giving various guidance on the importance of constitution and its values.

The principal of the college Dr Suresh Rai K presided over the function.

Vinay MS, IQAC Coordinator, Bhagya Lakshmi T M, HoD of political science department, Chandrakant Shenoy and Renuka H G NSS programme officers were present.

Kumari Preksha offered the invocation, Supritha and team invoked the blessings of God, Poorna welcomed everyone and Ananya read the preamble of the constitution. Aarthi offered a vote of thanks.

Around 120 students from the NSS and BCom classes participated in the programme.
