Podar Prep PIS Mangaluru marks Constitution Day with enthusiastic participation

Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 27: Podar Prep in PIS Mangalore celebrated Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, with great enthusiasm on Wednesday November 26. The event marked the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949 and aimed to instil in young learners the core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The theme for this year’s celebration was 'United we thrive, under our constitution'. The school also honoured Dr B R Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, by highlighting his contribution to shaping India’s democratic framework.

As part of the celebration, age-appropriate activities were organized in alignment with the Panchakosha Framework from the National Curriculum Framework 2022, focusing on the holistic growth of children across physical, mental, intellectual, and emotional domains.

Students across all levels participated enthusiastically:

Emerging roots (nursery): The four corners activity encouraged movement, focus, and decision-making.

Budding plants (Jr KG): Parachute play promoted teamwork, cooperation, and joy among learners.

Growing plants (Sr KG): A memory game challenged students’ cognitive abilities and supported intellectual growth.

The event was conducted as an in-house celebration, with students attending school in their regular uniforms. Teachers guided the activities and helped children understand the importance of the Constitution in simple and meaningful ways.

The celebration concluded on a positive and patriotic note, reinforcing the importance of constitutional values and encouraging children to grow into responsible and aware citizens.
