Revora youth killed in tragic road mishap at Mulgao

Mulgao, Nov 29: In a tragic incident on Friday evening, two youth from Revora lost their lives in a road accident at Mulgao. The deceased have been identified as Omkar Phadte and Tejas Kavthankar, both students of ITI Bicholim.

According to reports, the duo had travelled to the institute earlier in the day. Omkar had successfully cleared his final diesel mechanic examination, while Tejas had one paper remaining. After completing formalities and filling an application form, they were returning home to Revora on Tejas’s motorcycle.

On the way, their motorcycle was reportedly hit from the rear by an unidentified vehicle, causing both youths to be flung off. One fell by the roadside, while the other was thrown into a drain and remained unnoticed until a passer-by saw his feet. Locals immediately rushed to pull him out.

Both victims were shifted to the Bicholim health centre, where doctors declared them brought dead. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation into the incident.
