Kedar Naik denies ownership of trawlers detained in Maharashtra

Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, Nov 29: MLA Kedar Naik has refuted claims that the two trawlers recently seized by Maharashtra Fisheries authorities belong to him, insisting that neither vessel is registered in his name.

Addressing the media, Naik said his family has traditionally been involved in the trawler business, but noted that his four trawlers were handed over to others for operation while he focuses on political duties.

He accused the opposition of deliberately attempting to malign his image by falsely associating him with the detained boats, describing the allegations as politically motivated.
