Mangaluru, Dec 3: St Theresa’s School celebrated "Grandparents’ Day" with immense joy, warmth and gratitude on December 3 at the Msgr Raymond Auditorium.
The event brought together three generations in a heartfelt gathering that embraced love, tradition and the unbreakable bonds of family. This year’s theme, ‘Embrace,’ honoured the pillars of wisdom and affection who shape young lives in countless ways.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed chief guest, R Santhosh Kumar Johnas, retired principal Project Management Consultant of the Royal Dutch Shell Group, whose presence added dignity and significance to the occasion. The correspondent, Sr Shaila, and the principal, Sr Lourdes, also honoured the gathering with their presence, offering their blessings and support.























































The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service, invoking God’s grace on all grandparents. This was followed by the lighting of the Diya, symbolising the light of knowledge, values and blessings passed from one generation to the next.
Students delighted the audience with a variety of heartwarming performances—graceful cultural dances, melodious songs and a meaningful thematic presentation reflecting the school’s core values of family, unity and gratitude.
Grandparents watched with pride as their grandchildren performed with confidence and affection, expressing their love through words, music and movement.
The chief guest appreciated the school for fostering strong family values and emphasized the pivotal role grandparents play in nurturing character, transmitting culture and instilling compassion.
The principal, Sr Lourdes, extended a heartfelt note of gratitude to all the grandparents, acknowledging their immeasurable love, guidance and constant blessings in the lives of the children.
The celebration concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, leaving behind cherished memories and reaffirming the beautiful bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
