Saudi official reaffirms two-state solution as only path ahead

Doha, Dec 7: A senior Saudi Arabian official has reiterated that a two-state solution remains the only viable way forward for Israel and Palestine, Al Jazeera reported.

Manal Radwan from the Saudi foreign ministry, speaking at the Doha Forum 2025, said the peace plan laid out by US President Donald Trump was clear and should not be reopened for renegotiation.

“We cannot go back and redefine what we mean by ceasefire, what we mean by disarmament, or what we mean by a Palestinian-led process in governing Gaza,” Radwan said.

She added that there is broad international consensus on the two-state framework. “If almost everyone agrees that the two-state solution is the only way forward, then the question is what steps will be taken to bring about its implementation and make it possible,” she said.
