Jaipur, Dec 8: Tension flared across Rajasthan on Monday after new bomb threat emails were sent to the Kota Collectorate, a leading coaching institute in Kota, and the Rajasthan High Court in Jaipur. The alerts prompted an immediate mobilisation of police, bomb squads, and security agencies, with intensive search operations continuing at all affected sites.
Officials said the threatening email, received at the Kota Collector’s official address, warned: “The Kota Collectorate and Shikhar Coaching Centre in Jawahar Nagar will be blown up with RDX bombs.”

In response, authorities evacuated both locations as a precaution. Police units, bomb detection and disposal teams, dog squads, and Army personnel scanned the premises thoroughly for any suspicious objects.
Kota Collector Piyush Samaria confirmed that the message arrived around 7:20 a.m. The email also claimed responsibility and alleged that the sender was based in Kerala.
No explosives have been found so far at any of the targeted spots, leading officials to suspect a coordinated series of hoax threats intended to spark panic across the state. Security has been heightened at government offices, public institutions, and vulnerable locations while cyber teams work to trace the source of the emails.
Authorities have urged citizens to stay vigilant but avoid unnecessary panic as the investigation progresses.
This latest alert marks the fourth bomb threat reported in Rajasthan within a week. On December 3, the Jaipur Collectorate received a similar threat; on December 4, Ajmer Collectorate and the Garib Nawaz Dargah were targeted; and on December 5, the Rajasthan High Court in Jaipur received an email threat. In every case, no explosive devices were discovered, reinforcing the pattern of deliberate hoax messages.
Home Department officials revealed that the emails appear to be routed through foreign VPN servers, many operating in countries with no investigation treaties with India. This has complicated efforts to identify the sender. Central agencies have now joined the probe, and cyber experts are analysing digital trails in hopes of tracking the origin.
Security has been tightened statewide. Earlier on Friday, the Rajasthan High Court halted all judicial activities after receiving a bomb threat email, prompting a comprehensive security sweep of the court complex.
