Senior Israeli Official to Resign Over Sexual Harassment

Jerusalem, Feb 20 (IANS): An official of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has admitted to having sexually harassed a woman co-worker. He will resign later this month.

The official was accused of taking a woman staffer's pictures of sexual nature, stalking her and accessing her computer.

Natan Eshel, an official from Netanyahu's bureau, Sunday signed a plea bargain admitting to "unbecoming conduct" after harassing a female co-worker, Xinhua reported.

Eshel will resign from his post as bureau chief at Netanyahu's office at the end of the month, it added.

Under the agreement, Eshel will not be able to work again in any position within the civil service.
