Mangaluru, Dec 18: The official teaser of the upcoming Tulu film ‘Kajja: Karma Returns’ has been released, promising an engaging blend of comedy, thriller, action and romantic drama. Set against the backdrop of a seemingly peaceful town, the teaser hints at a gripping narrative where ‘the clock runs out on silence’ and Karma comes calling.
Promising suspense and emotional depth, the teaser invites viewers to witness a story where every mistake demands a price.
The film features a large ensemble cast including Aravind Bolar, Vasishta Simha, Sahana Sudhakar, Siddharth Shetty, Umesh Mijar, Uday Poojary, Gautham Bangera, Wencita Dias, Prajwal Shetty Bambrana, Shwetha Kotian, Santhosh Shetty, Poornima Rao, Sandeep Shetty, Sujith, Mohan Raj, Sannidhi Shetty, Shahin Sheikh, Savitha Anchan, Jayasheela, Suvarna Poojary, Yathik Raj, Shanon, Rajesh Kutthar, Vrunda Poojary, Bindiya, Nikhil Shetty, Gehena MD and Ujjwal.
Kajja: Karma Returns is directed by Jishnu S Menon and Siddharth Shetty. Mohan Raj has crafted the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics. The film is produced by Vishanth Menezes, with Praveen Suvarna as co-producer.
Cinematography is handled by Chanthu Meppayur under Wave Media Production, while the second unit camera work is led by Sharan Sasidharan. The assistant cameramen include Hari Shankar Venugopalan, Swapnil Dev, Sachin Pappinisseri, Jijeesh Kochu, Abhin Krishna, Hareesh Sukumaran and Vipin Shaji.
Music and background score are composed by Prasad K Shetty. Editing and teaser cut are done by Binu Nepolean, with colouring by Prahlad Puthanchery. VFX is handled by Sushanth Amin and Nithin Shashidhar.
Choreography is led by Vijeth R Nayak, supported by associate choreographers Pratheeksha Kotian and Nikhil Shetty. Rajil Keysi serves as chief associate, with Chirag Bajal as associate director. Assistant directors include Rahul Shetty, Rithik Raj, Ishanth Bairy and Rithvik Suvarna.
Karthik Rai is the production manager, and Geetha Priya the finance manager. Production assistants are Vishal and Rithvik.
Costumes are designed by Laila Kishori and Rithik Raj. Art direction is by Rajesh Bandyod, with Aarav, Prem and Ayyappa as art associates. Makeup is done by Binu.
Dubbing engineer Deepak D’Souza and sound designer Ranju Raj Mathew contribute to the film’s audio elements. Stunts are choreographed by Yodananda DC.
Marketing is handled by Cutting Media, with publicity design by Devi Rai. PRO for the film is Jagannath Shetty. Stills and BTS are captured by Santhosh Gold and Bhavish Poojary. Online editing is handled by Sharath Hedge and Binu Nepolean.
Aneesh Pournami serves as the unit chief, and the lighting team includes Manu Prasad Kayanna, Lakshman, Abhijith Bhattacharya, Prince, Sheriff and Adarsh.
