Dr Manuel Tauro wins three silver medals at state Masters’ Athletic Meet, qualifies for nationals

Mangaluru, Dec 22: Dr Manuel Tauro, associate professor and dean of the School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, won three silver medals at the Karnataka State-level Masters’ Athletic Meet held at Kolar on December 20 and 21.

Dr Tauro secured silver medals in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres events, showcasing consistent performance across sprint categories.

With this achievement, he has qualified to represent Karnataka at the National Masters’ Athletic Meet scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from January 28 to February 1, 2026.

Colleagues and well-wishers have congratulated Dr Tauro on his achievement and wished him success at the national-level competition.
