Udupi, Dec 23: National Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on December 22 at St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady, Udupi, as a tribute to the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants.
The principal, Fr Vijay Joyson D’Souza, and the vice principal, Rita Quadras, and the chief guest, Savita Devadiga, graced the occasion. The programme proceeded with a brief explanation on the importance of the day, highlighting the significance of Mathematics in daily life. Students showcased their talents through a graceful dance and an informative skit, emphasising the relevance and beauty of mathematics.




















The chief guest, Savita Devadiga, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to develop a positive attitude towards Mathematics and to feel comfortable with the subject. She shared motivating insights that inspired students to overcome their fear of mathematics.
The principal, Fr Vijay Joyson D’Souza, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Mathematics in education and life, motivating students to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The program was smoothly and confidently hosted by Fatima Suha of grade 9.
The celebration concluded on a meaningful note, leaving students inspired and appreciative of the importance of Mathematics.
