St Agnes College psychology students spread Christmas cheer at Mangaluru Dementia Care Centre

Mangaluru, Dec 24: A memorable day for the III BA/BSc students and staff of the psychology department, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on December 23 as they embarked on a heart-warming visit to Susheg Jivith, Manjanakatte, Kompadavu, spreading Christmas cheer among the residents and staff of the institution.

The visit was a truly enriching experience for all students, offering invaluable knowledge and insights. The exposure provided students the learning, the service and the need of care for the sick and the elderly.

As Mangaluru's only dementia care centre, Susheg Jivith promotes awareness and invites students and citizens to volunteer, share time, and connect with residents.

On Christmas Eve, 27 final-year Psychology students, accompanied by Dr Hithakshi B, HOD, psychology and Tanvi D Ail, assistant professor spread joy at the centre

The students put up a Christmas programme for its residents., followed by Christmas carols, a dance and a mashup of old time classic songs were sung by a group of enthusiastic students which concluded with Santa Claus returning to distribute candies to the residents.
