Udupi, Dec 24: St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE) jingled with joyful spirit of Christmas throughout the week. The school hosted exciting competitions for students such as Christmas greeting card making, Star- making and Crib making in which students participated with enthusiasm and creativity.
On December 23, students of grades 1 A and II A & B hosted a beautiful programme highlighting the Magic of Christmas. The little ones, decked in Christmas caps and attractive attires, opened the celebration with a meaningful prayer song and dance. With sweet words of welcome, they greeted the chief guest Sr Preethi Saritha AC, vice-principal of the school and the audience composed of teachers and students, the group entertained the audience with a medley of melodious Christmas carols.












































A meaningful tableau depicting the birth of Jesus rendered a divine and serene spirit to the program. The celebration was also twinned with observance of ‘Kisan Diwas’. Students enacted a graceful but powerful dance drama signifying the efforts of farmers and the crops they produce is the gif of God. The skit sent a strong message of ‘Sharing for Joy’ to the students.
In her message to the students the chief guest lauded the commendable performance of the host classes. She emphasized that the joy of Christmas is everlasting. God has shown His Unconditional love to mankind, through the birth of Jesus. She urged the students to practice the virtues of forgiveness, humility, obedience and equality in their lives.
Prizes for the various competitions were distributed to the proud winners by Sr Preethi, Sr Priya AC and Jenifer. The school head boy, Sharan and head girl, Aarushi awarded the scholar badges to the highest scorers.
The programme concluded on a joyous feel with the much -awaited entry of Santa Claus dancing merrily along to the cheerful tunes of Christmas song.
