Kasargod: District Sunni Yuvajana Sangh Holds Communal Harmony Convention

Kasargod, Feb 23: A communal harmony convention was held at New Bus Stand here on Wednesday February 22, as publicity campaign ahead of the 85th annual convention of ‘Samasta’ which will be held at Mallapura by Sunni Yuvajana Sangh (SYS), Kasargod.

Kazi T K M Bava Musliar inaugurated the programme. SYS Kasargod district president M Hashim Musliar presided over the programme.

Swami Keshavanand Bharati of Yedaneer Mutt and Bela parish priest Fr Vincent D’Souza delivered the peace message on the occasion.

SYS state secretary Nazer Faizi delivered the keynote address.

Samasta district chief secretary U M Abdul Rehman Moulavi, Samasta Dakshina Kannada district president N P M Sayyed Zainul Abdeen Tangal, Cherkala Abdulla, Metro Mohammed Haji, Balakrishna Vorkodlu, Dr V P P Mustafa, MLA P B Abdul Razak, C T Ahmed Ali, M C Khamaruddin, C Mohammed Kunhi Master, M S Tangal Madani, Sayyed N P M Abu Tangal, Paivalike Abdul Khader Musliar, T K Pokoya Tangal, SKSFF district president Ibrahim Faizi Jediyar, chief secretary Rashid Belinge, N P Abdul Rehman Master, Sayyed Hadi Tangal, Abdu Salam Darimi Alampady, S P Salahuddin, Kattar Ibrahim Haji, T K C Abdulla, Basheer Vellikot, Abubakker Salud Nisami, Tajuddin Chembarika, Sharief Padanna, and Kannur Abdul Master were present.

SYS Kasargod district chief secretary K M Abbas Faizi Puttige welcomed the gathering.

    It is nice to see Rev.Fr.Vincent D'souza,Parish Priest,Bela Church Kasaragod addressing the convention on Communal Harmony.Indeed he is a great Christian Priest I ever seen.I firmly believe that he has that capability of bringing/promoting communal amity in the soceity in true sense.I some time just think about him...had he been in any of Mangalore's church in Sept 2008 as Priest,the so called unfortunate church attack would not have happened.

    He is being respected widely by entire society not neccessarily by Christians alone. Such a wonderful personality he is.God bless you dear Fr.Vincent D'souza.
