Mangaluru: Srinivas University holds SIAHS Intercollegiate Football Championship 2025

Mangaluru, Jan 1: The Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka successfully organised the SIAHS Intercollegiate Football Championship 2025 on December 30, 2025 at Mukka Turf, with a total of 15 teams from various colleges enthusiastically participating and displaying exemplary sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

The event was inaugurated by the dean, Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy whose presence greatly motivated the participants, and the tournament was efficiently coordinated under the guidance of the sports coordinator, Savin K Vidyan.

The matches were conducted in an organised knockout format under fair play rules with professional refereeing and witnessed energetic crowd support throughout. After a series of thrilling matches, Indira College of Nursing emerged as the winners, while Yenepoya Allied Health Sciences secured the runner-up position.

Individual excellence was recognised with awards for Best Striker, Best Goalkeeper, and Best Defender. The championship successfully achieved its objective of uniting all medical and health science students on a common sporting platform, promoting healthy competition, leadership, discipline, and intercollegiate bonding, and concluded with a dignified prize distribution ceremony and a heartfelt vote of thanks to the management, principal, dean, sports coordinator, organising committee, faculty coordinators, student volunteers, referees, media team, and all participants for their support in making the event a grand success.
