‘Jai’ Pune screening scheduled on Jan 11

Mangaluru, Jan 10: ‘Jai’, starring and directed by rock star Roopesh Shetty, has witnessed an exceptional run in both Tulu and Kannada languages. The film is set to be screened in Pune on January 11.

Jai is a big-budget Tulu film featuring several renowned artistes from the district. Following the success of Girgit and Circus, Roopesh Shetty has directed Jai, marking another milestone in his career.

The film also features Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty in a role, which has added to its impact and appeal. Jai has been produced under the banners of RS Cinemas, Shoolin Films and Mugrodi Production.

Roopesh Shetty has directed the film, while the story and dialogues have been written by Prasanna Shetty Bailur. The screenplay has been jointly handled by Roopesh Shetty and Venu Hasralli. Vinuth K has handled the cinematography, with music composed by Loy Valentine Saldanha and editing by Rahul Vasistha. Choreography and executive production have been managed by Naveen Shetty Aryans.

The film features an ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Dr Devadas Kapikad, Raj Deepak Shetty, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, Umesh Mijar, Jyotish Shetty, Manoj Chetan D’Souza and others. Advithi Shetty plays the female lead.
