Mangaluru, Jan 20: The feast of alma mater St Agnes was celebrated with a spirit of devotion by the students of class 8A at St Agnes High School. The programme was ushered in by an insightful prayer service. The prayers were based on the values lived by St Agnes and cherished by the school. The values like purity, courage, faith, love, obedience, humility were presented in prayer to the heavenly father.

An elegant welcome dance with traditional outfit was a befitting beginning for the programme. A warm welcome was given by Ayisha Rimsha.

In a thought-provoking skit depicting the students portrayed the courage, sacrifice, purity and unwavering faith in the life of St Agnes. The students delivered their roles with sincerity; the message was loud and clear.

The explanation of school emblem was given by the students. This helped the audience to understand deeper meaning of it. The boys of the class gave a power packed performance to the tune of the rhythmic music. The entire class then sang the school song in Kannada, with pride and emotion.

The programme concluded with an inspiring message by the headmistress, Sr Gloria AC. She encouraged students to uphold the values of the institution, with the motto 'God is Our Strength'. She even encouraged the students to reflect on values courage, sacrifice, and unwavering faith.

The programme was well-planned and executed by the class teacher Preethi Vas. The joyful celebration concluded with the words of gratitude by Hanumakshi. The programme was compered without a hitch by the anchors by Suhan and Manjula.
