Beltangady, Jan 22: The annual feast of St Antony Church, Naravi, was celebrated with great devotion and religious fervour on Tuesday, January 21. A large number of faithful gathered to participate in the solemn celebrations and seek the intercession of St Antony.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Msgr Maxim L Noronha, vicar general of the diocese of Mangalore. In his meaningful homily, Msgr Noronha emphasised the importance of building a service-oriented and faith filled parish community, inspired by the life and virtues of St Antony.






















Fr Walter D’Mello was present for the celebration along with the deanery priests. Around 30 priests concelebrated the Holy Mass, adding solemnity and spiritual richness to the occasion. Fr Rupesh Tauro was also present.
Prior to the Holy Mass, the donors were honored with lighted candles as a mark of gratitude for their generous support towards the parish and the feast celebrations. The Geresa Convent sisters rendered their dedicated services at the altar, contributing to the reverent conduct of the liturgy.
The parish priest, Fr Jerome D’Souza, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all those who worked tirelessly for the success of the feast, including parishioners, volunteers, donors, and various parish associations.
On behalf of the parish pastoral council, Sanjay Miranda felicitated Msgr Maxim L Noronha by presenting a bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude. Sumitha D’Souza, secretary of the parish pastoral council, thanked Fr Walter D’Mello for his gracious presence and support.
Devotees gathered in large numbers and offered prayers with lighted candles at the statue of St Antony, expressing their faith and devotion. Adding joy to the celebrations, the ICYM members organised fun-filled games and activities for the parishioners, fostering fellowship and community spirit.
The annual feast concluded on a joyful and prayerful note, strengthening the faith and unity of the parish community.
