Five eminent personalities to receive ‘Sura Sarava Award’ at musical festival in Moodbidri on Jan 25

Mangaluru, Jan 22: Five eminent personalities will receive the “Sura Sarava Award” at the special musical festival organised by Sura Sarava Private Limited at the Samaj Mandir in Moodbidri on January 25.

The programme will be inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian. Renowned entrepreneur Sripathi Bhat will preside over the event. Former minister Abhayachandra Jain, former Dakshina Kannada BJP district president Sudarshan M Moodubidri, and KPCC secretary Mithun Rai will attend as chief guests.

On this occasion, the “Sura Sarava Award” will be conferred upon Alwyn Andrade for his valuable contribution to art, culture, and society. Noted entrepreneur, social worker, and philanthropist K Sripathi Bhat will be honoured for his exemplary service to society. Poornima Udupi will be recognised for her achievements in the field of arts. Veda Moorthi Shashidar Purohit will receive the award for his remarkable contribution to social service, while Sushanth Bhandary will be honoured for his dedication to the field of art.

As per the schedule, Sharada Pooja will be held at 1.45 pm, followed by Maha Mangalarathi at 2.45 pm. The Guru Vandana programme will take place at 3 pm, while students of the Sura Sarava Institution will present a musical performance at 4 pm. The formal function and award ceremony will be held at 5 pm.

Music lovers and the general public are invited to participate in large numbers and make the event a grand success.
