SMVITM student branch bags five awards at IEEE Bangalore Section AGM

Udupi, Jan 23: IEEE student branch of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning five prestigious awards at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IEEE Bangalore Section, held on January 18 at Bengaluru.

The awards received by IEEE Student Branch SMVITM include Outstanding Large Student Branch Award – 2025, Top 25 Student Branches in IEEE Bangalore Section, Membership Development Challenge Award – 2025, IEEE Bangalore Section Chair’s Recognition Award conferred on Dr Nagaraja Rao, IEEE branch counselor, SMVITM Bantakal, and Outstanding Student Volunteer Award – 2025 awarded to Annapurna Shenoy, IEEE Student Chair, SMVITM.

With this achievement, SMVITM proudly stands as the only institution across the entire IEEE Bangalore Section to receive five awards in a single year, reflecting its exceptional performance, strong leadership, and vibrant IEEE culture.

The management, faculty, and students of SMVITM expressed their sincere gratitude to the IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE Mangalore Sub-Section for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and support.
