Karkala, Jan 26: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated in a meaningful manner at Christ King Educational Institutions at its premises.
Renowned entrepreneur from Karkala, Vivekananda Shenoy, attended the programme as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag. Addressing the gathering, he said, “India is a very strong democratic nation, and democracy becomes even stronger through people’s participation.”
On the occasion, Class 8 student Dia Shetty and primary section teacher Ramitha Shetty shared their thoughts on the significance of Republic Day.
The programme was attended by Pre-University College principal Lakshminarayana Kamath, vice-principal Dr Prakash Bhat, and headmistress of the High School section Josna Snehalatha, Primary section head Rudolf Kishore Lobo, Institutional advisor Dr Sr Shalette Sequeira, and administrator Kiran Crasta.
