Mangaluru, Jan 26: The Republic Day celebration at Lady Hill Victoria High School was conducted with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and grandeur, reflecting the significance of this national occasion. The event commenced in a formal and respectful manner, highlighting the importance of unity and national pride.
The programme began with the welcoming of the chief guest, Sandrich D'Souza, who was accompanied by a marching band, adding a ceremonial touch to the proceedings.
Following the warm reception, the national flag was hoisted amidst cheers and patriotic fervor. The national anthem was sung with devotion by all present, fostering a sense of patriotism and national unity.

The programme featured the singing of the patriotic song "Vijay Vishwa Tiranga Pyara," which resonated with the audience, inspiring pride in the nation’s tricolour.
Chrislyn delivered an insightful speech about the historic significance of the song "Vande Mataram," which was celebrated as being 150 years old on this day. The speech emphasised the song's importance in India’s freedom movement and its enduring legacy.
Diya expressed her gratitude through a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers.
A cultural programme was then organised, which included various performances that showcased the rich cultural heritage of the nation. These performances aimed to instill patriotic values and entertain the audience.
To invoke divine blessings, a prayer service was held, seeking the blessings of God for the prosperity and unity of the nation followed by a graceful welcome dance.
Zeba welcomed the guest and everyone present The significance of Republic Day was elaborately explained by vanshi, sanvi, manya and Sara. emphasising the importance of democracy, sovereignty, and the constitutional values that form the foundation of India.
A skit was enacted on the life of Dr B R Ambedkar, successfully instilled patriotic spirit .This was followed by a patriotic dance, drill and cultural dance.
It served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the freedom and sovereignty of India, inspiring everyone to uphold the values of democracy and unity.
The chief guest, Sandrich D'Souza, working for Singine International Limited. inspired the students to become responsible citizens and work towards a bright future, contributing positively to the country.
