New Delhi, Feb 27: In the Aarushi Murder case, parents Dr Rajesh Talwar and Nupur have appealed to the Supreme Court to shift the trail of the case from Ghaziabad to Delhi citing security concerns and as most of the witnesses are in Delhi. The court will undertake their petition on Monday February 27.

Earlier, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had clearly opposed the plea as there was no provision for anticipatory bail in Uttar Pradesh. The counsel of the investigating agency had assured the court that they would be able to provide the neede security to Aarushi's parents.

In their appeal, the Talwars said that Rajesh Talwar had faced a hostile atmosphere in the Ghaziabad court where he was assaulted with a knife by a person in January 2011.

The Talwars has also not appeared in the Special CBI Court in Ghaziabad on February 4. Their counsel made a request for stopping the proceedings, saying that the Supreme Court is hearing a plea filed by them for transfer of the trial to a court in Delhi.

Aarushi (14), the only daughter of the Talwars, was found dead with her throat slit at the family's residence in Noida.
