Mangaluru: JCB trapped under landslide at KS Rao Road, driver escapes unhurt

Mangaluru, Jan 27: A JCB was trapped under a landslide while excavation work was underway near KS Rao Road on Monday. The operator managed to escape unharmed.

Officials said that during the last rainy season, a landslide had occurred at the same spot.

To prevent further incidents, sandbags had been placed, and excavation work was being carried out with the JCB as part of safety measures.

Suddenly, a portion of the soil gave way, burying the JCB. The ongoing work has now been suspended.
