Moodbidri firefighters rescue cow from 60-foot-deep well

Moodbidri, Jan 27: A cow that accidentally fell into a 60-foot-deep well in Badgamijaru village under Tenka Mijaru gram panchayat was successfully rescued by Moodbidri fire department personnel on Monday.

The well, belonging to resident Jayaram Gowda, measures around 60 feet in depth and five feet in width. Family members and locals who spotted the cow immediately alerted the fire department.

The fire personnel rushed to the spot, descended into the well, and safely lifted the cow to the surface using ropes, ensuring it was unharmed. Despite the well’s considerable depth, the operation was carried out with precision and skill, earning widespread appreciation from the public.

Assistant station officer Divakar Acharya, along with personnel Prasad, Praveenkumar Dodmani, Rajendra Satarakar, Mallikarjun Arabavi, and driver Sachin Ram Nayak, actively participated in the rescue operation.
