Retired Air Force officer shot at Lucknow restaurant, hospitalised; condition stable

Lucknow, Jan 31: A retired Air Force officer was allegedly shot by unidentified assailants at his restaurant in Lucknow late Friday night, police said.

The victim has been identified as Awadhesh Kumar Pathak, who sustained a gunshot injury in the attack. The incident occurred on January 30 at around 10.30 pm, when Pathak was reportedly walking towards his car after work.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Nipun Agarwal said the Sushant Golf City police station received information about the shooting and rushed to the spot. The injured man was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, and his condition is said to be stable.

Police said Pathak is currently running a cloud kitchen in the Anshal Chowki area under the Sushant Golf City limits.

An FIR has been registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s wife, and an investigation has been launched to identify and trace the attackers.
