Melbourne, Jan 31: Tennis fans are in for a blockbuster showdown as Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will clash in the Australian Open 2026 men’s singles final on Sunday, scheduled for 7.30 pm local time.

Alcaraz will be chasing his first Australian Open title, a victory that would make him only the sixth man in the Open Era to complete the Career Grand Slam. On the other hand, Djokovic will be aiming for a record-extending 11th Australian Open crown and a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title overall.

Since making his Australian Open debut in 2021, Alcaraz has registered a 17-4 win-loss record at the tournament, with his run to the final this year marking his best-ever result in Melbourne.

Djokovic, who debuted at the Australian Open in 2005, boasts a staggering 104-10 win-loss record at the tournament and has already lifted the trophy a record 10 times.

The Serbian legend has won the Australian Open in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023, underlining his dominance at Melbourne Park.

With history on the line for both players, the stage is set for a high-voltage final in Melbourne.
