Bantwal, Feb 1: Senior Congress leaders and former union ministers M Veerappa Moily and Janardhana Poojary met at the latter's residence in Bantwal on Sunday, reflecting on past political scenarios and exchanging insights from their long political careers.
Moily, who has served as Karnataka chief minister and union minister, and Poojary, a popular former union minister, are recognised as influential figures within the party. In the afternoon, Moily visited Poojary to enquire about his health. The leaders later engaged in an extensive discussion on the evolving political landscape and their experiences over the years.

The meeting was attended by former minister B Ramanath Rai; former Mangaluru mayors Shashidhar Hegde and Bhaskar K; former Mangaluru corporator Ashok D K; Bantwal City Planning Authority chairman Baby Kunder; Bantwal Block Congress president Balakrishna Anchan; and former Reserve Bank director Naveen Bhandary.
The gathering provided an opportunity for party leaders to deliberate on strategies, share perspectives, and strengthen bonds within the Congress leadership in the region
